报告人情况简述:

Dr. TSANG Yuen Hong (曾远康) has completed his undergraduate and PhD study in the University of Manchester, UK in Fiber Laser development in 2004. He came back to Hong Kong in 2009 and he is now Assistant Professor in Applied Physics Department, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The research focus of Dr. Tsang’s host department includes applied research and consultancy programmes in applied physics, optoelectronics and materials science, which attains the highest proportion of world leading research work in the cost centre of Materials Science for the Research Assessment Exercise in 2014 conducted by the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong. He has more than 15 years working experience on the novel materials for laser Photonics device development. His current research interests includes novel 2D nano materials, CNT, graphene, MoS2, WS2, BP etc. for photonics applications e.g. saturable absorber, optical limiting, photo-detectors etc., mid infrared laser development for medical applications, fiber laser, Q-switched and mode locked lasers, and photo-catalytic for renewable energy generation etc.

Dr. TSANG Yuen Hong has published 83 SCI journal publications including: 1 Impact Factor, IF, 12 ACS Nano, 4 IF7 e.g. Nanoscale, 10 IF4 e.g. Scientific Report, J. Mater. Chem. C, J. Phys. Chem. C, 14 IF 3, e.g. Optics Express and Optics Letters.  He is the reviewer for the following journals: Optics Letter, Optics Express, Applied Optics, Optics communications, Optics and Lasers in Engineering, Optics and Laser Technology, Chinese Physics Letter, Chinese Optics Letters, Materials Science and Engineering B, The Journal of Physical Chemistry, RSC Advances, Small, Advanced functional materials, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Journal of Material Chemistry C, Optics materials, Chemical Science, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Nanoscale.
